Despite some very cold water and conditions throughout the day, NEMS members Michelle Poublon, Richard Hostler, and Frank Mulcahy competed in the Wallis Sands Sprint Tri in Rye, NH on September 18, 2011. Michelle Poublon used her strong splits in all 3 disciplines to win the women’s 40-44 age group by a mere 10 seconds . Way to push Michelle! Richard Hostler used his strengths in the bike and run to take 3rd in the always competitive men’s 35-39 age group. Newcomer Frank Mulcahy continues to have a strong first season and finished another race in a very respectable 1:28:37. Great job all 3 NEMS members! Here are some pictures of Richard and Frank:
