NorthEast MultiSports inaugural Indoor Time Trial went off without a hitch on January 28th, 2012. Nearly 80 competitors competed in this 10K bike time trial that was ridden on Computrainers. This year’s course was Central Park, NY. The last heat actually went off a few minutes early and NEMS was very happy to keep all the heats on time. There was some stiff competition out there, but the eventual winners were Greg Larkin for the men’s side and Jana Richtrova for the women. The premier sponsor of the event, Shimano, offered some great prizes and it had a 10 x 10 booth setup at the event. Goodales provided food to all the riders and it was a great day.
NEMS members represented the club very well all day. Nate Thomas took home 3rd overall, Jim Petersen was the 29 and under age group, Brent Osborn won the 30-39 age group with Richard Hostler taking 2nd in that division, while newcomer Kris Homoleski took 1st on the woman’s side of that age group. Michelle Poublon won the female 40-49 division and Lynn Luts took home the win in the 50-59 age group! NEMS also got excellent efforts from Andrew Levine, Chad Quinlan, Greg Indruk, Chris Veilleux, John Caswell, Michael Thompson, and Floyd Kemske. A special thanks also goes out to everyone that helped volunteer throughout the day! The event could not have gone so well with without you! Greg Indruk also took pictures all day which can be found on the NEMS TT page.

Special thanks to all out sponsors: Profile Design, Tifosi, CPTE, H2Audio, Sun Multisport Events, FuelBelt, Road ID, Peak Triathlon Coaching, Chunky’s, FxD Coaching, and Speed Merchant Aero. After the success of this year’s event, we will be doing the event again next year. Here is some video from the day:
