On November 21, Colin Cook competed in Ironman Arizona. This was Cook’s first time racing the full distance and was also battling a hip injury that occurred when he was hit by a car on his bike about five and half weeks before the race. The weather conditions, some rain and 15-20 mph winds all day, were not ideal and uncharacteristic for Arizona this time of year. Despite all this, Colin was able to achieve his goal of finishing in under 11 hours and completed the race in 10:40. This put him 17th in his age group and 219th overall out of around 2500.
